Our story
The Tune Ups came together with one simple mission: play the songs that defined a generation and make every room feel like a sold-out arena. From the first rehearsal it was clear — this band was built to rock.
Drawing from the golden catalogue of classic rock, the band delivers high-energy performances packed with crowd favorites. Whether it's a packed bar, a private event, or an outdoor festival, The Tune Ups bring the same passion and precision every single time.

In the 80s, Steve played bass with The Riff, a new wave band based in Gainesville, FL, opening for Gang of Four, Psychedelic Furs, The B-52's, and Hall & Oates. The Riff was runner-up in the 1982 national battle of the bands, culminating in two nationally sponsored spring break concerts in Daytona Beach and Fort Lauderdale. After the band, Steve earned his engineering degree and built a successful Managed Services company specializing in Medical IT. In recent years he has recorded with Danny Chords, Rare Form, The Andy Brown Troupe, and Desmond Drive, and performed with Atlanta groups Eminent Chaos, Sucker Punch, and Harmony and the Hunter. Steve is now in his third year with The Tune Ups.
